We are a group of ordinary people whose lives have been changed by God. When God saves someone He pardons their sins and gives them new life, new direction and new hope.

The Bible says that, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation..." (2 Corinthians 5:17). That's what makes a person a Christian; and true Christians want to worship God for His goodness and mercy.

God has loved us so much as to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to be the Saviour whom we all need. The Bible tells us that, "God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). Christ died bearing the guilt of His people's sins. The Bible says that, "Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures" (1 Corinthians 15:7). The wonderful thing about the Christian faith is that at its centre is the living Saviour, who is Jesus Christ. He lived on earth, He was crucified, and He rose again from the dead.

These are solid and dependable historical facts, and this is what makes Christianity so very different from all other religions and philosophies.

Politicians, philosophers, teachers and scientists have made their mark on this nation. But, living or dead, whatever they achieved or taught, it can do nothing to help us with our greatest problem - our sin. Sin has estranged us from God and no expert on earth can help us with that. But Jesus Christ can. The Bible says that He came to reconcile us to God. He died in order to bring us to God.

This is the truth of the Christian message:

"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

Christians know the reality of God at work in their lives. When we meet, we worship God because of who He is and because of His grace which saves us from our sin.

We warmly invite you to join us at any of our services whenever you are able. If you have small children and they become unsettled, the service is relayed to a rear hall where you can attend to their needs and still listen to the service.
